He plays Willy Bank, who is the spawn of Donald Trump and Satan.

At the end, I kind of felt like I'd been hit by a bus.
Half Nelson
I keep coming back to Ryan Gosling's big, sad eyes.

Here's a super late friday five.

1. As a child, who was your favorite superhero/heroine? Why?
Didn't really have one. I wasn't really into superhero stuff. Does my mom count?
2. What was one thing you always wanted as a child but never got?
A Mr. Potato Head. For a superhero, my mom has a pretty selective memory. I asked for a potato head for years and she never got me one, saying I'd choke to death on its nose. She maintains I got one in Kindergarten.
3. What's the furthest from home you've been?
Here, in Hawaii.
4. What's one thing you've always wanted to learn but haven't yet?
Another language. I spoke French as a child, but that doesn't really count. I meant to learn Japanese; bought a tape and everything, but I never had the time.
5. What are your plans for the weekend?
Do the laundry at my mother-in-law's; go to the doctor to read Katie's TB test.

Yes, Katie had a TB test today. We're trying to get her into private school, but I'm registering her in the public school in our district just in case. Besides the TB test, she had three shots. It did not go well. By the end, I was crying harder than her. I hate shots. I hate them even more when it's one of my kids getting one (or three).

Isn't Blinky the name of the red ghost in Pac-Man?

Yeah, but it's also the name of the three-eyed fish on The Simpsons
