After a long, long day of parties and presents, a chocolate cookie is the last treat before I finally pass out from blissful exhaustion.

My second Christmas finds me almost buried under a terrific pile of books, toys and pretty clothes.

Time to open presents! And this year, I know exactly what to do. I get so much stuff, in fact, I have to take a break to stack everything up.

The traditional family Christmas party at Uncle Al's house gives me a chance to get to know all my colorful relatives. And, of course, to play on the stairs with grandma.

Grandma's friend Mr. Higaki made a surprise visit. Even though I just met him, I could tell he was a nice guy. He even knew how to play with my alphabet puzzle!

After an afternoon in the beautiful Hawaiian sun, I'm completely tuckered out and ready for a long, long nap.

The weather doesn't get much better than it did this October weekend, and I make the most of it at Magic Island. The famed Diamond Head crater stands in the background.

It's not a yellow submarine, but it'll do. Going my way? Aye aye, matey!

Mommy joins me in the sea.

Daddy and me spend an evening at the mall while mom's at the gym. Here I puzzle things out at Thinker Toys.

Fresh out of my first audition, I couldn't be happier. Though I'm still considering a career behind the camera.

Three months later, and I'm back in the ball pen at Chuck E. Cheese. Now it's neighbor Alyssa's seventh birthday party. She got a Barbie, I got pizza and cake, it was a pretty good scene.

After 18 months of research and development, I've almost gotten The Look perfected. No parent stands a chance against it! And of course there's always The Scream, which is nearly as effective.

Cousin Trevor's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese gives me a chance to steal the show. I might be a sneak, but at least I'm a cute sneak.

Where to, mister? I bet mom and dad can't wait until I can drive them all over the place... even up the wall!

A Saturday surprise — a trip to Magic Island and an afternoon in the sun. I think I could get used to this lifestyle.

Lounging on the sand is fun, but I like frolicking in the water even more... especially when daddy's there to give things a little spin.

Splash splash! Water is fun stuff. I don't think I'll ever get tired of taking baths.

Nothing brightens a day like a new hat. You know, if I get any more beautiful, they're going to make 'excessive cuteness' a crime!

Whoa. How do you suppose these work?

You better keep up, mom. I'm moving up in the world! Climbing steps is lots of fun... and great for toning my thighs.

My parents kept saying I've got a hard head, but great-grandma just had to go and learn the hard way.

Katie's First Birthday!

I loved spending time with grandma Lorraine! She and mom would take me by the hands, and I'd get to walk up and down the garden paths at the Hale Koa hotel.

In January, I finally got to meet grandpa Ed, who turned out to be the most huggable guy I know. He really knows how to make a girl feel loved... and he taught me a new trick: "Gimme five!"
