On Law & Order, Southerlyn is in big trouble. Does that mean she's off the show? Please? Eh. We had to take Katie to the dentist today. It did not go well. They needed x-rays. Kate was so hysterical that they couldn't take them; and they didn't want to bother with cleaning or anything, either. So it ended up being a five-minute consultation in which we found out that Katie has four new teeth. Her permanent molars. She wasn't supposed to get them til she's six, but they're in, a year early, in typical Katie fashion. Katie does everything early. Not developmentally; just stuff like food (she had had enough of baby food before she was 18 months) and, of course, cavities. Did you know Martha Stewart was a model? She was. She was stunning, too. They showed a page ripped from a magazine, sort of a profile of her, with her hobbies and stuff and it said, on the last line, "and she cooks, too". Like it was an afterthought. I'm still just trying to grab sleep when I can. But I find myself staying up way too late because Ryan does and I want to spend time with him. I'm hoping I can find the time (and the energy) to start exercizing. I dunno. It's probably a waste of time, since I'm still breastfeeding. in the ear: "Love at First Sight" by Kylie Minogue | ||||||

Just thought I dropped a note to say hi - hope everything's going well with everyone! :) BTW, if you think Tony Bourdain hates Emeril, wait till you hear what the guy has to say about Jamie Oliver and Bobby Flay. I love his show. Posted by: Jen at July 20, 2002 01:12 AM I know that Tony has gone on the record calling The Naked Chef a pansy and "the kind of guy who got beat up at school," among other things, and has called Bobby Flay all sorts of synonyms for "asshole." (I forgot if it was Bobby or Emeril on whom Tony once wished a slow, torturous death.) But I also heard somewhere else that he has relatively nice things to say about Mario Batali, so it can't be too bad. Now this makes me want to seek out this and the Cook's Tour book.
