Pith of Pop: Recently reviewed... Death Proof
Kind of like Q.T. himself.
The Sopranos
I think everyone has a Livia in their life.
Ocean's Thirteen
He plays Willy Bank, who is the spawn of Donald Trump and Satan.
Brokeback Mountain
At the end, I kind of felt like I'd been hit by a bus.
Half Nelson
I keep coming back to Ryan Gosling's big, sad eyes.

So I'm 30 now.
Everything's changed.
I hate it.
Nah. Actually, I was telling everyone for months before that I was "almost 30". It's a lot more honest than "my mid-twenties". Although I have considered shaving a couple years off my age. I think I could pass for 25.
on the tube: the Simpsons: the complete second season on DVD. One of my birthday gifts. And K5 has started running the show again on Wednesdays and Thursdays, but you know what? They cut bits out.
I said I'd live in Hawaii and have two kids before I was thirty. I accomplished both of those, but there are many, many things I haven't done yet, and other people have done nifty lists of things they want to do before they turn 40, so I thought I'd put one together.
- Earn a biology degree
- visit Europe
- go to cooking school
- live in London for one year
- take an Alaska cruise
- write a novel
- see a hockey game
- take voice lessons
- lose the balance of all my Katie-related weight gain
- get a tattoo (a small yin-yang on my back)
- donate blood (last time I tried, I fainted. Can you believe that?)
- make a gingerbread house, complete with gummy trees and icing on the roof, for Christmas
- dye my hair a nice shade of red, permanently
- at least begin on my Master’s degree
- make a leg of lamb and accompanying side dishes for Easter
- learn to drive
- work in retail again just long enough to wait on someone famous
- adopt a child
- meet Emeril Lagasse
- bring my kids to visit my grandmother in Boston
- visit Japan
- take hula lessons
- read all of Shakespeare’s works
- eat an entire lobster by myself (they gave us really small pathetic ones in the hospital the day after Kate was born, but it was so teeny it doesn’t count)
- be a lector in church
- live in New Zealand for one year
- visit Napa Valley and decide if I like wine, once and for all
- learn another language (not French. My French is a little rusty and I’d love to re-learn, but I mean, start out not knowing anything and become fairly fluent)
- watch a Japanese tea ceremony
- buy a kitchen aid mixer and use it on a weekly basis
- take piano lessons
- try surfing once
- see a production of an opera (pick an opera, any opera) at the Met
- live in New York for one year
- win an Oscar (yeah right)
- drive cross-country
- see every movie on the IMDB top 250
- go to a latin mass
- own a cat
- renew my wedding vows with Ryan
So I have all that to do in ten years.
In the meantime, though, it's hot. It's Africa hot. I have to take Katie to the neighborhood pool more often. She's taking swimming lessons now. I even took Zac the one day last week (Tuesday?) when we went.

Now is the time for you to start celebrating Xth anniversaries of certain birthdays. For instance, this would be the 5th anniversary of your 25th birthday or the 1st anniversary of your 29th birthday.

Hey Happy 30th to you, or was it 25 all over again ;-)
Hope you had a great day! You have a cool site and I hope you achieve everyone of your goals in life too - well maybe not the Oscar but anyway... *chuckles*

Happy belated birthday! (This coming from someone who just cleared the quarter-century mark, only to realize that I've inherited the metabolism of someone twice my age...)
BTW, my parents just came back from their cruise from Alaska (via Vancouver) and they say it's so totally worth the extra effort.
