At the end, I kind of felt like I'd been hit by a bus.

I keep coming back to Ryan Gosling's big, sad eyes.

Today was Eat Lunch With Your Child Day at Katie's school.

That was depressing.

Her school's not a hellhole or anything, but I had these grand visions of her teacher telling us Katie is some sort of a genius and a pleasure to teach (which she is goddamn it), but instead, the meani...I mean, teacher, said she had to put Katie into time-out because she was trying to talk to all the other kids during naptime yesterday. Well, that's what you get for trying to force a genius to take a nap. Hmmmph.

And Zac has a big fat lip. The kid is as strong as an ox and he was climbing the futon, which is verboten, and well, he hit the hard wooden armrest because he was struggling so hard to get away from me.

Sounds like a sucky day, huh? We had a good weekend, though. Two picnics, no major illnesses or injuries. Even went to the beach. I needed the beach, even though the water at our beach was kinda grody that day.

my favorite spongebob squarepants episode: Frankendoodle.

Ryan is having a fight with the TiVo. He ordered a thing to make the memory bigger and it refuses to work. He's sent the thing back once already and may have to send it back again. He's distraught, but I'm just happy to have a TiVo.
