This is a test entry to inaugurate "Aside," the weblog companion to "Composition Book," my online journal. (And yes, there is a difference between 'blog and journal.) Here's where I'll collect snippets of thought — random things that occur to me that I want to share, but can't be easily squeezed into a full-fledged journal entry.
